4. Machining Characteristics & Export Quality Standards
1.4301 stainless steel has significant work hardening, poor thermal conductivity and obvious tool adhesion during cutting. Compared with ordinary carbon steel, it is more prone to burrs, surface scratches and dimensional rebound. All European standard orders must follow unified process specifications to ensure batch stability and surface compliance.
4.1 Turning Quality Requirements
Adopt coated carbide tools with low speed and moderate feed. Sufficient water-soluble cutting fluid is required to avoid built-up edge and surface tearing.
