Embedded Tube Cooling Plate
The embedded tube cooling plate is manufactured by pressing copper or aluminum tubes into precision-machined grooves on an aluminum base plate, followed by mechanical or epoxy bonding for optimal thermal interface. This process provides excellent sealing reliability and high pressure resistance, making it ideal for applications with high coolant flow rates and long service life requirements. The tube material and wall thickness can be customized to match different coolant types and working pressures.
We can produce embedded tube cold plates with complex serpentine, parallel and multi-pass flow paths, with tube diameters ranging from 4mm to 16mm. The press-fit process ensures full contact between the tube and the aluminum base, minimizing thermal resistance while maintaining the structural integrity of the base plate. Surface treatments such as anodizing, chromate conversion and nickel plating are available for corrosion protection.
Vacuum Brazed Cooling Plate
Vacuum brazed cooling plates are constructed by joining two or more aluminum components under high temperature and vacuum environment using brazing filler metal. This process creates a uniform, metallurgical bond across the entire contact area, resulting in very low thermal resistance and excellent leak-tightness. Vacuum brazing is the preferred process for high-density cooling applications with complex internal flow channels and high heat flux.
Our vacuum brazing process supports internal channel structures including pin fins, strip fins, microchannels and turbulent flow structures, enabling highly efficient heat transfer in a compact footprint. The brazed joint has consistent strength and corrosion resistance, and can withstand high working pressure and thermal cycling. We perform helium leak testing and pressure testing on every vacuum brazed cooling plate to ensure reliable performance.
FSW Friction Stir Welded Cooling Plate
Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process that produces high-strength, defect-free welds without melting the base material. FSW cooling plates feature excellent mechanical properties, minimal distortion and consistent weld quality, making them suitable for large-format, high-strength and high-reliability cooling applications. The weld zone maintains nearly the same mechanical and thermal properties as the base aluminum alloy.
Our FSW cooling plates are widely used in new energy vehicle battery cooling, energy storage systems and high-power industrial equipment. Compared with traditional fusion welding, friction stir welding eliminates porosity, cracking and residual stress issues, ensuring long-term reliability under vibration and thermal cycling conditions. We can weld aluminum alloys of various thicknesses and produce cooling plates with dimensions up to 2000mm in length.
Gun-drilled / CNC Machined Cooling Plate
Gun-drilled and CNC machined cooling plates are manufactured by drilling deep, precision flow channels directly into a solid aluminum block using deep hole drilling technology, followed by CNC milling, tapping and finishing operations. This monolithic construction eliminates welding or bonding interfaces, providing the highest level of structural integrity, leak resistance and thermal performance.
Our gun-drilling process can produce straight, cross and multi-layer flow channels with diameters from 3mm to 20mm and depth-to-diameter ratios up to 100:1. All internal channels are deburred and cleaned to ensure smooth flow and no contamination. This process is ideal for high-pressure, high-reliability applications such as aerospace, medical equipment and high-power semiconductor cooling, where any risk of leakage is unacceptable.
